A super-absorbent foam bar that grabs rain, condensation and overspill before it spreads across your floor, then wrings out clean and goes again next storm.
How it works
StormSponge doesn't divert water anywhere. It just holds onto it until you're ready to deal with it.
Lay the bar along the sill, shower lip, door threshold or hatch, wherever water is finding its way in.
Open-cell foam pulls water in fast and holds it inside, instead of letting it pool or run onto the floor.
Squeeze it out over a sink or drain, let it air dry, and it's ready for the next downpour.
Where to use it
Built for Hong Kong's typhoon season, but just as at home in a bathroom or on a boat.
Typhoon rain driven sideways under frames and thresholds, right where it usually pools.
Catch a slow ceiling drip in a bucket, then ring the bucket's rim so splashback doesn't spread.
Stop water sneaking past the screen or under the door and creeping across the tiles.
Hatches, portholes and bilges, wherever the sea finds a way past the seal.
The material
StormSponge is a dense block of open-cell foam, not a kitchen sponge. It doesn't fall apart when it's soaked through, and it keeps its shape after repeated wring-outs, so it sits flush against a sill or threshold instead of sliding away.
